You Are The GOAT - Go Out And Thrive

We all enjoy a friendly debate on who the GOAT is (Greatest Of All Time) between our favorite sports icons. Are you all in on LeBron James or Michael Jordan? How about Alex Morgan or Mia Hamm? Your thoughts on Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus? What about Serena Williams or Margaret Court? And then there’s Tom Brady! Alright, alright! We all agree on TB12! We will leave the other great debates open for another time.

That being said, we at Hadobody like to change up the GOAT acronym to something that better fits our mantra. GOAT to the good vibe tribe means Go Out And Thrive! Meaning, what we all need more than ever in our lives is health, hope and positivity so we can be the best possible version of ourselves. Let's look at some actions we can take to care for our bodies, increase mindfulness, set priorities, connect with others and thrive.

Defining Thrive

We define thrive as passionate, wholehearted self-growth that leads one and others around us to flourish. Accepting and loving yourself as you are. Knowing that your are enough. It is also about taking responsibility for your successes and failures, being positive and proactive. Simply stated, it’s you being your best self.

Positive Affirmations

Did you know that verbalizing positive affirmations can help you combat stress and increase the neural pathways in your brain? Working with your affirmations daily will help program your subconscious mind and help guide you in achieving your goals. There’s no place like mindfulness, so lets give it a try!

Start each day and end each night by taking a couple deep breathes and saying 11 positive affirmations to yourself. Below are two sets of 11 I Am Affirmations you can begin with. Say out loud to yourself the first set twice-daily for a week then the second set twice-daily for the following week. There is magic in the number 11 and we will touch upon it shortly!

Week 1

I Am In Enough. I Am Love. I Am Confident. I Am Lucky. I Am Grateful. I Am Proud Of Myself. I Am Unique. I Am Strong. I Am Blessed. I Am Worthy. 

Week 2

I Am Brave. I Am Smart. I Am Full of Life. I Am Kind. I Am Resilient. I Am Important. I Am Constantly Improving. I Am Beautiful. I Am Loved. I Am Grounded.

Week 3-4

You are a unique individual and you may have your own individual powerful affirmations that are relevant and specific to you. For the third and fourth week, create a list of affirmations that best suits your purpose or goal and repeat them to start and end each day. We chose 11 affirmations because the number 11 is associated with spiritual awakening. Eleven is also a mystical number that offers creativity, higher energy, insight and inspiration.

Utilizing powerful I Am statements on a daily basis is a powerful first step for you to take the actions to support the changes and outcomes that you desire.

Gregg Braden, a five-time New York Times best-selling author, said it best about affirmations or as he calls them wisdom codes in his book The Wisdom Codes, “The power of wisdom codes comes from their repetition and doing so in the affirmative. This imprints a code on the subconscious mind. When we create heart/brain harmony, we open a “hotline” to communicate directly with the subconscious mind. From a place of heart/brain harmony, recite the version that you are most drawn to, silently or out loud - line by line - until you feel an increased sense of trust and certainty that you are not alone. The key is to embrace this code with a focus of awareness, breath, and feeling in the heart rather than the mind.”

Group Intention
