The New Year is upon us, and it is a perfect time to look inward to connect with our deepest inspirations, aspirations, and intentions to discover the magic inside us. The magical gift of manifesting what we wish to have in our life - physically and spiritually.

Everyone has the unique ability to create a positive change in their life, but only some know how to access the power inside them.

For many, we set goals we wish to achieve without having an action plan of steps to take for us to achieve those goals. To reach goals in your life, there are a few key things to remember:

It is a loving commitment to oneself that joins the heart and mind on a journey to one’s highest calling.

Simply put, it is to clearly state what you want to experience and achieve through your actions. Setting an intention can be done in all aspects of your life, from relationships and personal life to your work life. It is often mindfully practiced in the yoga community to set an intention on how you wish to feel in your practice or how you wish to feel once you leave the mat.

Spend some quiet time and reflect on the experiences

Spend some quiet time and reflect on the experiences, relationships, the feelings, the things that you wish to experience in your life. Take some time to feel the emotions you may feel when you experience your intentions in your life. From there, write down the intentions you want to set. Then, spend time thinking about how having these intentions come into your reality will feel, what does it look like, feel like, what will you be doing? Get as vivid and clear as you can in these steps as feeling the emotions will activate the intentions and allow for them to flow easily to you. Your thoughts that turn into emotions, which inspire actions, are all used to manifest your intentions.

Often, people will go through the motions of the day, week, or month on auto-pilot in the same wave of energy, missing out on the blessings of opportunities each day has in store for us. Setting an intention activates your receptivity to manifestations and putting out what you wish to call into your life.

You become more present in your thoughts, actions, emotions, and energetic frequencies, thus helping you decipher what is guiding you toward your goals versus what is holding you back.

How to express your intentions and set achievable daily goals?

When setting an intention, make it personal and unique to you. Be specific in your attention and imagine how you would feel when you achieve your goal. This will help you embody your intention and allow the radiant, positive energy that is already inside you.

Choosing the intention doesn’t need to be only physical. Often, to manifest the physical, one must tap into the mind, body, and spirit to see and accept what you are seeking. What would be the most authentic to you and your higher self? What is the highest good for all within your desires and intentions? Contemplating these questions can bring this into a full mind, body, spirit experience for you and activates the unconscious mind to begin to put this all into action for your benefit.

Now that you have an idea of what you wish to manifest, one of the best things you can do is cleanse your energy space physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Take time for self-care and nourish your body with love. Also, smudge your space to clear out any negative and stagnant energy and welcome love, light, and positivity into your space.

Next, journal your intentions, what you wish to manifest, or how you wish to feel. Express gratitude towards what you have in your life and towards yourself. We now know that by feeling gratitude for what we already have in our life opens up the space and opportunities for more of the things we desire naturally gravitate towards our being.

Finally, take time to visualize what it will look like and how it will feel when the intentions you set manifest before you. Ground yourself in the feelings you may experience until you can feel your mind and body telling you it’s time to be done.
